The teachers and staff at Ventura Elementary work diligently to promote a positive, student-centered learning environment, focusing on helping students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. Lessons are designed to make learning hands-on, collaborative, and inquiry based. Ventura provides students the opportunity to prepare for college and career through our AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and become bilingual and biliterate through our Dual Language Program. In addition, Ventura Elementary is adding a Medical Science and Technology learning track so that all students, K-5, will have the opportunity to learn about fitness, wellness, sports medicine, coding, cybersecurity, and robotics. Our goal is to foster a love for learning and guide students into preparing for college and careers.
