The teachers and staff at Ventura Elementary work diligently to promote a positive, student-centered learning environment, focusing on helping students grow academically, behaviorally, and socially. Lessons are focused on college and career readiness and designed to make learning hands-on, collaborative, and inquiry based. Ventura provides students the opportunity to prepare for college and career through our AVID program (Advancement Via Individual Determination) and become bilingual and bi-literate through our Dual Language Program. This school year, we are adding a Medical Science and Technology learning track so that all students, K-5, can learn about fitness, wellness, sports medicine, coding, cybersecurity, and robotics.
