As the global economy continues to change with the introduction of new technology, career paths, and avenues of communication, we have the opportunity and responsibility to train our brains to think in the most innovative way possible. At Deerwood Elementary School of Innovation, young scholars will be exposed to future-forward pathways through the lens of STEAM(Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics). Scholars will use the critical thinking, literacy, technology, and collaboration skills acquired to become the next generation ready to choose their future pathway of Enrollment, Enlistment, Employment, or Exploration. Deerwood Innovation Scholars will be prepared to head to the next step of their education journey with background knowledge including but not limited to flight principles, manufacturing, electricity, nutrition, and ecology.

Thacker Avenue Elementary is home of the WILDCATS! We strive to meet and exceed the needs of every learner on their journey to greateness. It is a vibrant and diverse school that excels in fostering both academic and extracurricular excellence. Academic excellence is a cornerstone of Thacker Avenue, with a strong emphasis on rigorous learning and high achievement. The school is fortunate to offer a Dual Language academic program which allows students to work towards becoming bilingual in a multicultural academic setting. The school also offers a dynamic cross-country and track and field program, encouraging students to develop their physical fitness and teamwork skills. The Battle of the Books competition ignites a passion for reading and critical thinking among students, while the 21st Century Afterschool Program provides enriching activities that extend learning beyond the classroom. Family engagement is actively promoted, creating a supportive community where parents and guardians are integral to the educational process. Together as partners with the foundation of these programs, we aim to create a well-rounded and nurturing environment for all students.
